Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) B1

A magical story of Kubo is your perfect choice for a family viewing. Inspired by Japanese legends, it unveils some of the scariest and most guarded secrets of the human soul. It also reminds everyone out there that whenever we think we are alone, we aren’t: there’s a powerful force behind each of us and it’s up to us to harness it.

As this is a fairy tale, there’s a lot of slow and distinct speech and even if you miss some word, it won’t distract you as the action and the background will keep it all clear for you. By the way, two of the characters got their voice from Charlize Theron and Matthew McConaughey. Can you guess who they are?

In case you really want to learn a phrase or two, check out these ones: a wooden charm, a mighty samurai, dropping like flies, a hideous monster, and be infinite.

Enjoy it!
